THE FAMILY

A still life by using an egg and two forks, two normal things each person use daily.

The three objects symbolize a family especially their life. The egg is a metaphor for one member of the family and the forks are the other members and the environment. The egg needs the support of the two forks to stand because it is round and otherwise it would overbalance. Thus this construction reflects the life in a family because each individual depend on the help of the other family member and the environment and could not live without it. It thus symbolizes the coexistence in a family.
The first picture shows an abstract constellation where the egg is resting on top of the two crossing forks. It shows that the family helps you to grow, to be there if you need hold and to get up. In the second I focused on the position where the egg is between the forks which are holding it. It’s like in life the family gives you love and heat, being around you everytime. And one the last picture the egg is supported by the two forks to stand.
The three pictures create one line which symbolizes the life with his ups and down, with bad and good times but you always now the family will be right by your side.
